Forestry engineer by the Universitat Politècnica de València, Spain. She studied for two years in the University of Göttingen, Germany, where she worked with the Chair of Forest and Nature Conservation Policy and wrote her MSc thesis. Her research was on the international forest regime complex. She has also spent time in the Peruvian Amazon working on tropical agroforestry issues with local communities. After graduating, she has worked on the socioecological aspects around NTFP in the StarTree project, and also provided support to the Mediterranean bioeconomy work being carried out at EFIMED. Now at CTFC she will be working for the SIMRA project, which seeks to advance understanding of social innovation and innovative governance in marginalized rural areas across Europe, with a focus on the Mediterranean region.
