PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (ICTA-UAB).
She is the coordinator of the Consolidated Research Group on Forest Bioeconomy (2021 SGR 01613), a research group recognized by the Government of Catalonia. She has professional experience in the development of bioproducts and circular bioeconomy in R&D departments of companies such as Aeris Tecnologías Ambientales SL, as well as in research centers, including the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and the Institute of Carboquímica of the Spanish National Research Council (ICB-CSIC). She is also an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Her research focuses on obtaining value-added products from different types of biomass; thermochemical processes, mainly torrefaction and pyrolysis; analytical characterization of bioproducts; and the use and conversion of bio-oil as a platform and chemical product, within the context of biorefineries, bioeconomy, and circular economy.
