LINE / Forest Functioning & Dynamics

Forestry Engineer from the National University of Costa Rica (2012). Bachelor’s degree in Land Use Zoning and Forest Restoration (2015). Dual Master’s from the University of Eastern Finland in European Forestry and from AgroParisTech in Forests and Their Environment (2019).

She worked for four years researching tropical forest dynamics, agroforestry systems, and indigenous communities in Costa Rica. She is currently pursuing her PhD at the CTFC and the University of Lleida, focusing on modeling post-fire regeneration of Catalan pine forests, with particular emphasis on the concept of "fire refugia" as a driver of regeneration.
