He completed a foundation year in Cambridge before pursuing the Maastricht Science Programme, focusing on macro‑environmental biology, ecology, and climate‑related coursework.
He later earned a Master’s in Climate Studies at Wageningen University, specialising in human–environment interactions and integrated risk management.
His master’s thesis analysed collaboration and coordination within Belgium’s fragmented risk governance system.
He has experience in corporate sustainability through his work at Federal Assurances, supporting sustainability reporting and carbon accounting.
He contributed to wildfire risk education as a research assistant on the DG ECHO SPARKLEFIRE project.
He then joined the Forest Policy and Governance group at CTFC as a research intern for the FIRE‑SCENE project.
He now works full‑time at CTFC on FIRE‑SCENE and additional projects related to wildfire governance, risk management, and landscape resilience.
