Inmaculada Navarro holds a PhD in Biological Diversity and Environment from the University of Málaga (2025). Her doctoral research focused on the application of ecological modelling to the conservation of the Bearded Vulture (Gypaetus barbatus) in the Iberian Peninsula, developing quantitative approaches to address questions related to species distribution, population dynamics, reproduction, survival and landscape connectivity.
Inmaculada Navarro is an ecologist and conservation researcher specialised in the application of quantitative methods to wildlife conservation. She has experience developing and applying a wide range of statistical and ecological models, including Bayesian approaches and species distribution models (SDMs), to address applied questions in conservation and wildlife management. Her research has focused particularly on scavenging birds, with extensive experience in vulture ecology and conservation, as well as in the study and management of game species.
