PROGRAM / Landscape dynamics
LINE / Landscape Modelling (LandMod)
Industrial Engineer from the University of Talca, Chile (2011–2016). Master’s in Operations Management from the same university (2016–2017). PhD from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC, 2024), specializing in mathematical modeling applied to spatial decision-making in conservation.
His research interests focus on developing and applying methodologies to improve territorial management decision-making by integrating diverse factors and scenarios. He has expertise in stochastic models for decision support, dynamic and stochastic optimization, as well as multicriteria optimization. Additionally, he has worked with advanced artificial intelligence models, such as reinforcement learning, applied to threat management and conservation.
