Se incorpora al CTFC en 2022 con un contrato de investigación posdoctoral Margarita Salas para estudiar la ecología espacial de la tórtola europea. Su investigación se centra en la biología de la conservación, con un enfoque interdisciplinar que vincula la ecología y las ciencias sociales. Estudia el impacto de las actividades humanas, tales como la caza y la agricultura, en la disminución de las poblaciones de aves, con especial énfasis en la coexistencia entre humanos y vida silvestre. Evalúa la efectividad de las medidas de conservación y gestión implementadas sobre el terreno, analizando qué intervenciones generan resultados positivos, neutros o negativos, identifica vacíos en su implementación y establece procesos basados en la evidencia para mejorar la toma de decisiones en la planificación y las políticas de conservación.
