PROGRAMME / Bioéconomie, santé et gouvernance
LIGNE / Institut Catalan du Bois

PhD Architect from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), awarded Cum Laude distinction and the Extraordinary Doctorate Prize in 2015. Senior researcher at the Catalan Institute of Wood (INCAFUST), where she leads activities related to the use and transformation of wood products in construction. She is a member of the BIOFOR research group and the Mediterranean Lab Wood at the CTFC, collaborates with the GICITED group at EPSEB-UPC, and teaches at the School of Architecture of Barcelona (ETSAB-UPC). She also lectures as a guest professor in specialized courses on timber construction and fire safety.

Her expertise focuses on fire behavior and façade fire spread, fire safety, and fire propagation modeling, with extensive experience in research projects on timber construction elements and sustainable building. She served as a Steering Committee member and co-leader of a working group in COST Action FP1404 Fire Safe Use of Bio-Based Building Products, and actively collaborates with the global research network Fire Safe Use of Wood (FSUW). She is co-founder and activity coordinator of LIGNOMAD, a Spanish research network promoting the use of wood and lignocellulosic materials in construction. In addition, she contributes to initiatives aimed at fostering the use of local wood in the Catalan construction industry.
