PhD in Forestry Sciences from the University of Lleida and CIFOR-INIA (Madrid). Forestry Engineering degree, specialization in Environmental Sciences, from the University of Lleida and University College Dublin (Ireland). Technical Forestry Engineering degree, specialization in Forestry Operations, from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.

She has been an Associate Professor of Dendrometry and Forestry Inventories in the Department of Agroforestry Engineering at the University of Lleida (UDL) and a lecturer in the European Master in Forestry. She has worked in private consultancy as a forestry engineer and as a consultant for FAO, and has served on boards of directors, advisory bodies, and evaluation committees of various entities related to research, development, and knowledge transfer in the forestry sector. She has extensive R&D experience in adaptive forest management for the provision of ecosystem services in the current context of global change, forest dynamics, and applied silviculture, inventories, and forest planning at different scales, and integrated fire management, including prescribed burning as a tool to restore natural dynamics and ecological processes in Mediterranean forests. She has prepared, directed, and participated in national and international projects, as well as contracts with different entities and administrations. She has authored or coauthored more than 160 publications, including scientific, technical, and outreach articles, books, and book chapters.
