Té més de vint anys d'experiència treballant com a científica social en el mòn forestal a Espanya i el Regne Unit, ha participat en diversos projectes europeus i és coautora de publicacions acadèmiques. La seva recerca se centra en la comprensió de les complexes relacions entre els boscos i la societat. Actualment, la seva activitat se centra en tres temes principals: anàlisi de les polítiques forestals i relacionades amb els boscos a diferents nivells; enfocaments multiactor i processos de co-creació per fomentar la innovació i la integració de diferents tipus de coneixement, i transicions per a sostenibilitat i el benestar de la societat.
