Training
He holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Agronomy (Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Italy) with a thesis on woody energy crops and a M.Sc. in Forestry (University of Florence, Italy).
Work experience
He is researcher at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR). Entered in service in 2007 in the former Timber and Trees Institute, now merged in the Institute for Bioeconomy (www.ibe.cnr.it). He is active in the fields of forest mechanization, timber traceability, agro-forest biomass production and solid fuels quality assessment. Has been involved in several EU and national projects, building a comprehensive experience in proposal and management of research and education projects. Since 2001 he has been bioenergy consultant for private companies, universities and international agencies in the EU, North and South Americas.
