973 48 17 52 Since 2017, he has led technical and scientific activities focused on the selection and improvement of forest and agroforestry species—first at IRTA and now at the CTFC.
He specializes in the use of drones (UAVs) and the analysis of aerial imagery. He is currently involved in several projects, including PLASTICPINE (2023–2026), INTERREG SUDOE CoopTree (2023–2025), RUMIAR (2024–2026), GO YesWeCast (2024–2026), ForH2O (2024–2026), and DEMO +pinyoCAT (2024–2026). Within the Catalan Forestry Selection Program (Contract FC 2021–2024), he has contributed to the selection and characterization of base material. He also played a key role in the selection and registration of four chestnut varieties native to Montseny at the Spanish Office of Plant Varieties (OEVV). This work was part of R+D projects funded by the Barcelona Provincial Council (2018–2022) aimed at restoring chestnut production in the Montseny Natural Park. He also actively participated in the Supranational Operational Group GOPinea (2021–2023) and the TRACENUTUS project (2021–2023). Additionally, he collaborated on a study of poplars from five streams in the province of Barcelona, commissioned by DiBa (2019–2020).
